Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), founded in 1950 by Maulana Abul was founded with an objective to actively participate in the formulation and implementation of policies and programmes pertaining to India’s external cultural relations; to foster and strengthen cultural relations and mutual understanding between India and other countries; to promote cultural exchanges with other countries and people; and to develop relations with the nations.
ICCR grants scholarships for foreign students under various Schemes. Under these schemes, the Council handles more than 2000 admissions of foreign students at various Universities/Institutes on an annual basis. In this connection, the Council receives a large number of queries from foreign students related to course selection, hostel issues, stipend, status of University/Institute, change of stream, medical facilities, etc.
ICCR has put in place a dedicated Email ID to help address the grievances, problems, as well as to guide the foreign students studying in India under ICCR Scholarship Programme for foreign students. Now students can get in touch directly at firstname.lastname@example.org & submit their queries.
We believe that this mechanism shall address problems efficiently, usually faced by the foreign students with regard to confirming their admissions and other queries.
