ABOUT MECHANICAL ENGINEERING Mechanical engineering deals with anything that moves, including the human body, a very complex machine. Mechanical engineers learn about materials, solid and fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, control, instrumentation, design, and manufacturing to understand mechanical systems. Mechanical engineering field can be divided in a variety of ways in terms of job functions. Some of the most common functions relate to these areas of technology, but not all do. Among these fields are: Product Design, Research and Development, Manufacturing, Systems management, energy. OBJECTIVES Objectives of Mechanical engineering department are: Graduate will Cater to the needs of Indian as well as multinational industries. • Cater to the needs of Indian as well as multinational industries. • Be competent with strong technological background to analyze data, formulate and undertake industrial problems and obtain viable solutions • Make successful career in industry / research / higher Studies. • Be life-long learning and should be able to work on multi-disciplinary projects. • Be Competent for effective communication, in management and in professional skills and ethics HISTORY The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2010. At present, the department offers Graduate, Post Graduate and Doctorate degree courses. It is highly reputed for producing eminent engineers as professionals, researchers and entrepreneurs. The department is proud to be collaborated with well-known industries in the sector.

A. Through DASA: Please refer the website https://www.dasanit.org/. The per semester Academic Tuition fees for Foreign National is US $ 4,000. SAARC and African Nationals and CIWG Category (Under DASA)* students would be given scholarship upto Domestic Student's Fee Structure. All applicants would have to pay non-refundable registration fee of US $300 to DASA 2016 while filling online application. B. PDPU International Admission Policy: Minimum 55% or its equivalent in the qualifying examination i.e. Senior Secondary [10+2] or equivalent with Science subjects from any system of education as recognized by the Govt. of India with English as medium of instruction. SAARC and African Nationals and CIWG Category (Under DASA)* students would be given scholarship upto Domestic Student's Fee Structure. As per DASA Admission Policy, Confirmation of Admission through PDPU International Admission Policy will be only after the 1st round of DASA seat allotment.
