M.Tech (Master of Technology) - Automotive Product Engineering

The Automotive Product Engineering masters program takes a systems viewpoint for automotive design and manufacture. From a systems perspective it focusses on conceptual design, powertrain, vehicle architecture, and body-in-white design.

The automotive industry is growing at a very fast rate in India. Virtually all global manufacturers are operating in India, whereas home grown auto companies are going global. The cut-throat competition in this sector requires solutions that the industry keeps reinventing, reinvirogating its product line and production processes. This establishes the need for competent manpower and this program is ideally suited to fulfill that need. The program serves the needs of a dynamic and growing automotive industry which needs people with a broad knowledge base. This program meets the requirements of global automotive industry including original equipment manufacturers and their supply chains.

In this program you'll use advanced computer-aided engineering software to translate current and emerging automotive technologies into future products. Our systems view will make it possible for you to look at the complete vehicle and not in parts. It means that you will look at all components and component packages as sub-systems of a complete vehicle. The program covers the aspects automotive engineering design and automotive manufacturing and hence make you capable to contribute to design or manufacturing function within an automotive organisation.

You will develop new technologies for next generation mobility solutions. You will conceive, design, and prototype next generation automotive solutions. The entire program is based on projects situated in a team environment and is complimented by rigorous industry participation in teaching and project mentoring. The projects will be conducted in an environment that resembles an industry environment and will help create new knowledge.

At the end of the program you will be able to find a suitable role in the automotive industry or connected industry segment in the area of research and development, design, and testing of processes, systems and parts of automotive vehicles or other mechanical systems. The integrated approach of the program will open up possibilities for an occupation in technical support, sales, manufacturing or management at different levels.

STEP 1: Check The Eligibility 

The eligibility for each of the program offered by the University is different and is based on the program curriculum. Before applying, check the eligibility for that program.

STEP 2: Application Process 

The application process for ADYPU courses is a two-stage process.

At Stage 1 candidates apply to ADYPU with scores from entrance exam conducted by ADYPU or by an authorized authority to conduct an entrance exam. Based on the scores received the admissions committee will prepare a merit list and will call the candidates for Studio Test (If applicable to that school) Group Exercise, and Personal Interview. TheStudio/GD/PI will be conducted based on the application norm of the respective school. The applications for admission will be accepted as per the admission cycle notified on this website in the section “Admission Notification”

At Stage 2, the candidate will appear for the Group Exercise followed by personal interview on the given date.

Based on the score received, Await the decision from ADYPU about acceptance of application for admission. The decision is conveyed to the applicant within 10 working days of the receipt of your application.

STEP 3: Personal Interview 

The second and final step is to attend a group exercise and a personal interview. The interview purpose is to know the applicant better and to gauge the passion and commitment of the applicant towards the applied program. The personal interview is also an opportunity for the prospective student to discuss with the faculty and admin staff and get answers to queries / doubts, if any.

STEP 4: Admission Offer 

Once the personal interview is conducted, the prospective student is informed about the admission decision. If the admission decision is positive, an admission offer letter is issued. If the admission decision is negative, the prospective student is informed about the deficiencies and is given time to remedy the deficiencies if deficiencies are of remedial nature.

STEP 5: Acceptance of Admission Form 

ADYPU and the student form a contractual relationship when a student is enrolled at ADYPU. What follows are the terms of that contract in which the students accept to govern the mutual relationship, along with statute, and with the regulations and rules of ADYPU. On being offered an admission to a course at ADYPU the student will have to sign an “Acceptance of Admission Form”. The admission process is incomplete without the signing and hence is mandatory.
