BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) - Media And Communication

Primarily, the exceptionality of the course is purely based on experiential learning. Students will discover the thrill of creating content for print, television, radio and digital space. Besides, this student will learn the art of selling content through various marketing communication tools like advertising, public relations, brand communications and event management.

Students are given exposure of various mass media messages through practical based assignments and projects. In order to enhance their managerial skills, students are taught the fundamentals of management, human resources, marketing and finance leading to understanding the business sense of managing a media and entertainment business.

A suite of core courses introduces fundamental concepts, theories, issues, and statistical methods and builds skills in reasoned argument, research, and critical thinking. Students develop inventiveness and apply creativity to come up with effective solutions to new problems.

Subsequent courses integrate analysis and research, emphasizing observation, production, and consumption as critical processes in which students continually engage, while also emphasizing systematic inquiry that involves students in research activities. The courses foster critical understanding of the ways that individuals, groups, and societies create meanings about their worlds through communication.

Earlier on the program students will explore the varied facets of communication, radio programming, visual language and event management. Each of the courses have dedicated assignments and projects. Students are familiarized with the introductory aspects of journalism, television programming and production, public relations, corporate communication, advertising and cinema.

Students are introduced to different aspects communication processes, including research, planning, strategy development, copywriting, visual communication, budgeting, media buying, and campaign analysis. Students will learn strategic management principles and will become capable of organizing and staging events. Students will be able to manage image and reputation of an organization in a Web 2.0 environment and will also be able to make corporate and institutional videos and adverts.

Later on the students are exposed to creative writing, social story-telling and documentary projects. The course culminates with the students making an industry standard media deliverable, which may include short-film, documentary, live-production, corporate-films, and a final dissertation project.

• Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to the reserved category).

STEP 1: Check The Eligibility 

The eligibility for each of the program offered by the University is different and is based on the program curriculum. Before applying, check the eligibility for that program

STEP 2: Application Process 

The application process for ADYPU courses is a two-stage process.

At Stage 1 candidates apply to ADYPU with scores from entrance exam conducted by ADYPU or by an authorized authority to conduct an entrance exam. Based on the scores received the admissions committee will prepare a merit list and will call the candidates for Studio Test (If applicable to that school) Group Exercise, and Personal Interview. TheStudio/GD/PI will be conducted based on the application norm of the respective school. The applications for admission will be accepted as per the admission cycle notified on this website in the section “Admission Notification”

At Stage 2, the candidate will appear for the Group Exercise followed by personal interview on the given date.

Based on the score received, Await the decision from ADYPU about acceptance of application for admission. The decision is conveyed to the applicant within 10 working days of the receipt of your application.

STEP 3: Personal Interview 

The second and final step is to attend a group exercise and a personal interview. The interview purpose is to know the applicant better and to gauge the passion and commitment of the applicant towards the applied program. The personal interview is also an opportunity for the prospective student to discuss with the faculty and admin staff and get answers to queries / doubts, if any.

STEP 4: Admission Offer 

Once the personal interview is conducted, the prospective student is informed about the admission decision. If the admission decision is positive, an admission offer letter is issued. If the admission decision is negative, the prospective student is informed about the deficiencies and is given time to remedy the deficiencies if deficiencies are of remedial nature.

STEP 5: Acceptance of Admission Form 

ADYPU and the student form a contractual relationship when a student is enrolled at ADYPU. What follows are the terms of that contract in which the students accept to govern the mutual relationship, along with statute, and with the regulations and rules of ADYPU. On being offered an admission to a course at ADYPU the student will have to sign an “Acceptance of Admission Form”. The admission process is incomplete without the signing and hence is mandatory.
