The Programme 

Today Mass communication has assumed a significance like never before, thanks to strides in technology, and the increasing public attentiveness to a wide range of issues that affect individuals, communities, societies and countries at large. With the increase in disposable incomes in both the developed and developing countries the result is evident in increased consumption, penetrative marketing of products, ideologies and services.
These are also adding to the significance of communication.  As a post graduate study, MS in Mass Communication percolates into basic issues such as Role of Language, Society, Culture in Communication, Impact of Communication on social, economic, political and cultural life, and its effects on development and social change. It also examines such as Media, Print, Outdoor, Radio, Television, Internet, Film, etc and gives them technological insights into harnessing these.

Graduates with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in optional subjects of Journalism.


For Non-Journalism Graduates
Graduates with minimum 50% of marks in aggregate of all the subjects including languages.
